Role OverviewThe primary function of the Welder Fabricator is to build products to exact drawing specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency in all fabrication tasks. The role involves performing aluminum welding and fabrication on barges, marine equipment, and structural components, ensuring strength and durability. The Welder Fabricator will work in both shop and field environments, including outdoor marine settings.
What You Will Do
Perform aluminum welding and fabrication on barges, marine equipment, and structural components, ensuring strength and durability. Utilize proper tools, materials, and MIG/TIG welding techniques for aluminum and steel applications. Cut and prepare raw materials to specified dimensions. Repair and reinforce barge and pier components, including decking and structural supports.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of welding experience, with a strong preference for aluminum welding. Experience with MIG and/or TIG welding (aluminum preferred) is required. The candidate should be able to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings, and have experience with marine equipment, barges, or structural fabrication.
