Role OverviewA Fitter/Welder will work individually or as part of a small team to produce Sheet Metal weldments. The weldments must meet the dimensional specifications of the mechanical engineered drawings. The Fitter/Welder will be required to determine where each weld is to be performed and meet the size and length requirements of each weld.
What You Will Do
The main day-to-day responsibilities and outcomes include MIG welding mild steel and stainless steel, performing basic fitting, adjusting machines according to department manuals, removing material using grinding processes, reading drawings and inspecting parts for basic dimensions, and spraying transfer MIG weld.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The successful candidate will typically have 1-2 years of relevant work experience, a basic command of the English language, and the ability to execute hot work. The candidate will also be able to finish grind, surface finishing based on departmental requirements, and repair improper welds.
