Role Overview

Under the direction of a Track Supervisor, this position is engaged in welding and related tasks that support the maintenance, repair, and construction of freight and passenger railroad track with a “safety first” focus.

What You Will Do

Direct and instruct equipment operators, train welder helpers, maintain tools and equipment, and prepare reports.

Must have a valid driver’s license, valid credentials, and FRA Track Safety Standards Part 213 Subpart A to G qualifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid credentials required by federal and state laws, including CDL Class B
  • FRA Track Safety Standards Part 213 Subpart A to G qualifications
  • A & B qualifications
  • Annual training and passing safety and track worker rules examinations
  • At least one year of responsible supervisory experience in track maintenance in Class 4 or higher
