Job Description
Role Overview

Perform various kinds of welding, brazing, and cutting using gas and electric welding equipment. Work on a swing shift schedule, Monday - Thursday, 10 hours, 3:20pm - 1:50 am. Adhere to design specifications and related welding procedure specification documents.

What You Will Do

Receive instructions, prints, and work orders for the job. Plan details of working procedure, tools and material requirements. Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Repair equipment by using appropriate welding techniques and welding equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of five (5) years welding experience required
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings for proper applications of tolerances, fit, and process control
  • Test Position: 3G or greater
  • Joint type: complete joint penetration groove weld qualifying for unlimited thickness
  • Material: ASTM A36 mild steel or equivalent material specified as a Group 2 prequalified base metal
  • Processes: Flux core Arc Welding (FCAW) and/or Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
