Whitecaps Attendant/Server (Seasonal)

Requirements

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and provide recommendations on flavors and toppings.
• Serving Ice Cream: Scoop and serve ice cream, prepare various desserts, and handle cash and credit transactions efficiently.
• Maintaining Cleanliness: Keep the ice cream shop clean and organized, including washing equipment, cleaning tables, and ensuring that all areas meet health and safety standards.
• Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring stock levels of ice cream, toppings, and supplies.
• Product Knowledge: Maintain an understanding of the menu, including flavors, ingredients, and seasonal offerings.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately take orders and handle cash transactions.
• Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with other staff members in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare and serve coffee and tea drinks that meet quality standards.
• Properly handle and maintain all equipment.
• Respond to orders, questions, concerns, and constructive feedback in a polite and efficient manner.
• Accurately handle cash and credit card payments, following appropriate cash-handling procedures.
• Serve customers quickly and efficiently.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and able to multitask.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of all the menu offerings and must be able to make recommendations.
• Observe relevant health and safety standards.
• Ensure that the opening/closing duties are complete as per protocol.
• Have a thorough knowledge of all the retail items.
• Abide by all policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
