Job Description
Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation is seeking a Wildland Firefighter 2 - Helicopter Manager to coordinate, implement, and supervise wildland fire initial attack personnel and equipment. The position requires a high school degree, two years of experience in wildland fire suppression with supervisory responsibilities, and possession of a Class C Montana Driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Two years of experience in wildland fire suppression with supervisory responsibilities
  • Possession of a Class C Montana Driver’s license
  • Ability to complete a physical performance test known as the “Pack Test”
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations
