Job Description
Pacific Wildlife Care, a state and federally permitted wildlife rehabilitation facility, offers a temporary internship program for individuals interested in wildlife and wildlife rehabilitation. The internship is a hands-on experience in all aspects of wildlife rehabilitation, including animal care, observation, record-keeping, and treatment.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Punctuality and good work ethic
  • Respect for all wildlife
  • Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work on their feet on a hard floor for up to 8 hours per day
  • Ability to communicate well with coworkers and work well as a member of a team
  • Ability to interact professionally with members of the public
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while precisely following directions and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as wildlife medical records and procedure manuals
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations
