Window & Door Service Technician

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing and documenting field service of VPI window and door products. This role involves both indoor and outdoor tasks, and you will be required to travel frequently. You will be working at heights above 50 feet and will be expected to lift up to 75 pounds. You will also be required to work overtime and be on call.

What You Will Do

Your main responsibilities will include performing in-field service repairs, evaluations, and inspections, maintaining accurate records of repair, evaluations, and inspections, and preparing detailed reports. You will also be required to attend water tests, inspect pre-test results, and diagnose any issues that may arise.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• 2-5 years of experience in either the vinyl window and door industry or the manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, saws, levels, and tape measures
• Knowledge of repair methods for windows, doors, glass and glazing (or a background in window/door installation)
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs., climb, lift, pull, and perform tasks on ladders and scaffolding
• Multitasking capabilities with professionalism
• Experience using general office equipment (laptop, phone, iPad), including Office 365
• Application of special repair policies in practical situations
• Dependable, self-motivated, and problem-solving skills
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills
