Role OverviewThe Wireless/Telecommunication Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and testing various telecommunication and wireless communication systems, components, & equipment in both the private and government sectors.
What You Will Do
Install, configure, test and maintain wireless and other telecommunication equipment and systems, perform site surveys, signal testing and system optimization, troubleshoot and resolve network and equipment issues, and conduct preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires experience in the wireless/ telecommunication construction industry, safety and industry related certifications, and proficiency with Microsoft Office products and ability to test and troubleshoot fiber optics, coaxial, and Cat5/Cat6 cabling.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Safety and industry related certifications (e.g. OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NWSA TTTl, Authorized Climber, Competent Climber/ Rescuer, Rigging, RF Awareness training, First Aid, CPR & AED)
- Experience in the wireless/ telecommunication construction industry, private and/or government sectors
- Experience with IP Networks, VoIP, wireless technologies, and digital communication systems
