Role Overview

The Women's Basketball Head Coach is responsible for recruiting, coaching, and developing student-athletes in a Christ-centered environment. The coach must foster cooperation, positive teamwork, and sportsmanship while promoting the development of youth as future leaders in God's church and for The Kingdom.

What You Will Do

The coach will plan, organize, and direct the Spurgeon College Women's Basketball program, including recruiting, training, and leading a competitive team. The coach will also manage the operating budget, ensure team rules and regulations are followed, and provide information to the Athletic Department and participants.

Requirements

  • Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
  • Previous coaching experience, preferably at a higher education/College level
  • Knowledge of technical aspects of the assigned sport
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with recruiting websites
  • Positive attitude with a desire and willingness to learn
  • Ability to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Eligible to work in the United States
