Role OverviewThe Before and After School Care Site Assistant is responsible for general supervision and management of assigned school site, while assisting in the development of children's social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive development.
What You Will Do
Attends to the needs of participating children at all times, while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Plans and leads daily/monthly curriculum-based lesson plans and activities approved by the Site Supervisor.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Ability to participate in, plan, and lead all physical activities. Ability to sit and stand from a seated position on the floor when interacting with children. Capability to be outside for up to 30 minutes a day, year-round.
Requirements
- At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent is required (over 18+ years of age)
- Some experience supervising children is preferred, but not required
- Meets state-licensing agency requirement
- Achieves DHS Clearance, with documentation, prior to starting work
- Passes TB skin test within 30 days of hire
- CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Safe certifications within 60 days of hire
