Job Description
The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the foundation of community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Before and After School Care Site Assistant is responsible for general subversion and management of assigned school site, while assisting in the development of children’s social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive development.

Requirements

  • At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent is required (over 18+ years of age)
  • Some experience supervising children is preferred, but not required
  • Meets state-licensing agency requirement
  • Achieves DHS Clearance, with documentation, prior to starting work
  • Passes TB skin test within 30 days of hire
  • CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Safe certifications within 60 days of hire
