Role OverviewThe Yard Rigger is responsible for safely directing crane operations during the lifting, moving, and placement of precast panels. This role uses rigging equipment, communicates continuously with the crane operator, and ensures panels are properly handled, stored, and shipped in a safe and efficient manner.
What You Will Do
Responsible for signaling the crane operator during panel lifting and placement. Uses rigging devices for the transportation, storage, and shipping of precast panels. Hooks and unhooks lifting cables, ring clutches, and spreader bars. Guides the cranes and is to always remain in constant communication via two-way radio with the crane operator as they guide the crane around blind spots. Place dunnage used to store panels in racks or trailers for shipping to customers.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work as part of a team

- Ability to climb ladders, man-lifts, and scaffolding
- Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
