Job Description
The Yard Traffic Coordinator supports safe, efficient, and timely inbound and outbound traffic flow within and between assigned trucking yards by coordinating vehicle movement, staging, and communication to minimize congestion and operational delays.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (HSED) preferred
  • Valid state-issued driver license and acceptable driving record required
  • 1+ years of experience in truck yard operations, trucking, logistics, or warehouse environments required
  • Ability to apply practical understanding of trucking and warehouse operations to real-time yard coordination
  • Ability to maintain organized, accurate records and follow established processes with attention to detail
  • Strong coordination, communication, and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and operational conditions throughout the workday
  • Ability to read and interpret bills of lading (BOL) and manifests
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to recognize congestion or safety risks and respond appropriately
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to remain organized and calm in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to learn quickly and become proficient with software applications and tracking systems
