Role Overview

The Youth and Family Life Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and supporting programs and ministries that strengthen the faith life of children, youth, young adults, and families within the parish community. This position seeks to foster a welcoming, Christ-centered environment where individuals and families can encounter Jesus Christ, grow in their Catholic faith, build meaningful relationships, and actively participate in the life of the Church.

What You Will Do

Plan, coordinate, and implement faith formation opportunities for children, youth, and families. Develop engaging, age-appropriate programs that encourage young people to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and their understanding of the Catholic faith.

Requirements

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
  • Passion for sharing the Catholic faith and serving children, youth, and families.
  • Bachelor’s degree in theology, religious education, pastoral ministry, youth ministry, education, or a related field preferred;
  • Experience in Catholic youth ministry, religious education, family ministry, or parish ministry preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to recruit, train, encourage, and work effectively with volunteers.
  • Ability to connect positively with children, teenagers, parents, and adults of varying ages.
  • Comfortable speaking to and leading groups.
  • Proficiency with common office, communication, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with parish staff and volunteers.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, and parish events as ministry needs require.
