Role Overview

The Youth and Family Life Minister will lead and integrate youth ministry and family life initiatives to help young people and families grow in faith, build community, and live out Catholic values in daily life. The role reflects guidance from Church documents like Christus Vivit (on youth) and Amoris Laetitia (on family life).

What You Will Do

The main responsibilities include planning and leading programs for middle school and high school youth, organizing youth group meetings, retreats, service projects, and social events, fostering discipleship and spiritual growth through prayer, catechesis, and mentorship, and preparing youth for sacraments in collaboration with religious education staff.

To be a fit for this role, you should have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as experience working with youth and/or families. A degree or formation in theology, pastoral ministry, youth ministry, or related field is preferred.

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with strong knowledge of Church teachings
