Job Description
Volunteers of America–Greater New York is seeking a Youth Care Counselor to implement and teach targeted skills, carry out individual service plans, and counsel residents in skill and goal development. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a mental health, health, or human services discipline, or a high school diploma and two years of experience in the human services field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a mental health, health, or other appropriate human services related discipline
  • High school diploma and two year’s experience involving the supervision of adolescents in the human services field
  • Availability to work a changeable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
