Role Overview

The Youth Care Specialist is a direct care staff position responsible for the daily activities of the FSS licensed group home, Providence House. This position has an emphasis on engaging high-risk youth assigned to the home in overcoming obstacles that contribute to placement instability.

What You Will Do

Implement house rules for residents, ensure incidents are reported, participate in required meetings, provide feedback on residents' behaviors, and thoroughly review youth records.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least one (1) year of experience working with at-risk children
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clear a Level II Background screening (Live Scan)
  • Clear a reference check
  • Clear a local background check from the County in which you reside
  • Clear a Florida abuse and neglect records check
  • Clear a substance abuse screen
  • Maintain certification in CPR
  • Complete at least 40 hours of training annually
  • Maintain certification in Human Trafficking through the state of Florida
  • Maintain certification in Professional Crisis Management (PCM)
