Role Overview

The Youth Development Professional is responsible for the safety and supervision of all Club members, with a focus on Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten. The YDP implements programs within the Formula for Impact and five core program areas. Must be cooperative, friendly, and create a safe and harmonious environment.

What You Will Do

Supervise, develop, and implement programs; maintain the upkeep, safety, security, and appearance of the Club; maintain all required paperwork; coordinate and implement spontaneous recreational activities; promote and stimulate interest in activities; assist in planning and implementation of academic enrichment; maintain maintenance of all recreation equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • First Aid & CPR certified
  • Pass TB test
  • Pass FBI/DOJ Live Scan and overall background check
  • County Assessment met (Proof of 48 completed college units, copy of college degree or County Assessment Certificate)
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Recreation, Child Development or equivalent experience in related field a plus
  • Knowledge of youth development principles, education programs, expanded learning practices, mentoring, coaching, and positive behavior guidance a plus
