Role Overview

The Youth Mentor's primary role is fostering youth development in an after school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. As a Christian ministry, we are geared toward serving kids and students in our community by offering awesome after school care and activities.

What You Will Do

Lead elementary students in enrichment activities, work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year, and earn CPR/First Aid certification.

Requirements

  • Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
  • Must be at least 17 years of age
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
  • Some post-secondary training highly preferred
  • Have a passion and love for working with elementary school-aged children
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children is preferred
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
  • Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
  • Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
  • Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
  • Legally allowed to work in the United States
  • Have dependable transportation
  • Spanish-speaking ability greatly valued
