Role OverviewThe YReads! Program is a literacy/mentoring initiative for kindergarten through fifth-grade students. As a tutor, you would provide assistance and support to the program coordinator during YReads! hours.
What You Will Do
Assist in student supervision, teach basic reading skills, and maintain necessary paperwork.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Desire or interest in learning about literacy intervention, experience working with children, compassion and empathy for struggling readers, and tutoring experience are preferred.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Desire or interest in learning about literacy intervention
- Experience working with children in an educational environment
- Compassion and empathy for struggling readers
- Tutoring experience strongly preferred
- Pass a 10-panel drug screen
- Clear a Level 2 background check
